FIRST STOP RECOVERY
Kensington Recovery House is a First Stop Recovery program dedicated to serving justice-involved individuals seeking stable recovery housing, community resources, and support services. With a focus on reintegration and long-term stability, Kensington provides a structured, supportive environment for those navigating the path from the justice system back into everyday life.
Our Intensive Outpatient Program provides structured clinical support for individuals who need professional treatment without a full residential stay. Combining individual counseling, group therapy, and life skills development, our IOP is designed to fit your schedule while keeping your recovery on track.
Recovery isn't one-size-fits-all. That's why we offer 30, 90, and 120-day program tracks — giving you the time and structure your individual journey requires. Our team works with you to determine the path that fits your needs and sets you up for long-term success.
Community is a cornerstone of lasting recovery. We host 12-Step meetings right at our on-site coffee shop — a welcoming, judgment-free space to connect with others who understand the journey.
Second Chance Slice is a First Stop Recovery workforce development program designed to create real opportunities for individuals who need a second chance. Through vocational training in food service and culinary arts, construction skills, and employment pathways, Second Chance Slice empowers participants to build careers, restore independence, and contribute to their communities.
All services are provided at no cost to program participants. No ID, no insurance, no financial means required — just a willingness to take the first step.
No-cost to low-cost housing for men and women leaving the streets or incarceration.
Strategic partnerships with trusted organizations for therapy and mental health support.
On-site employment pathways and workforce development for program participants.
Support groups, meeting times, and a family that walks the road to recovery with you.
First Stop is run by a small, dedicated family — many of whom have walked the road to recovery themselves.
In loving memory of Frank — who was there around the clock, dedicated to helping people get better. His legacy lives in every life this program touches.
